GvP Covid-19 Paddle Meeting Guidelines
Following please find our Guidelines for a successful return to the water to allow us to maintain Government and Canoe Wales Covid-19 guidelines.
Your support is much appreciated.
• Prior to paddling with the club all participants will have to check in and register their name on the relevant data sheet, we also request any helpers, parents or Guardians also register to enable us to follow contact tracing guidelines.
Access to the kit store will be on an individual basis to minimise cross- over.
• Borrowed / hired kit after usage will have to be rinsed in the disinfec-
tant plunge vat provided and hung up to dry . This will be the respon- sibility of the user of the kit, Parent, Guardian or Helper, if further help is required contact one of the Coaches.
We will allocate a single/pair of coach(es) to each small group of pad- dlers. This coach will individually manage your whole GVP session from start to finish. This will facilitate more group separation and avoid over- lapping groups getting on and off the water at the same time.
• We would prefer groups to form and wait on the grass area or hard- standing at the top of the Slipway, the group coach(es) will then direct their group onto the slipway to access the river.
We’d suggest members of a family all sit in one group, to minimise breaking up pre-existing bubbles. Other groups will be established based on ability.
Should additional family members be needed to help anyone to get on the water, we would prefer them to co-ordinate with the group coach and suggest that appropriate PPE is worn at the slipway.
Coming off the River - we would prefer each group clear the slipway in good time taking all kit with them, to allow the following group to come off the river, while observing social distancing.
Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to discuss it with the coaches.

Wednesday Evening Club Paddles
Our Wednesday evening club paddles have resumed with the lessoning of the Covid-19 restrictions, but still subject to due care and adherence to all Covid-19 rules currently in force.   

We will in general meet at the Quay Centre on Wednesdays at 17:30 for 18:00 on the water.  We will let you know in good time the venue and the meeting time should we venture further afield, via email and or Facebook.
